Ask away!

I’ve been writing on running for about a decade now and have been doing the podcast for almost 5 years…

Now’s your chance.  Ask me anything you want and I will answer on an upcoming podcast.  Personal, opinion…you name it and I’ll give you an answer.

Leave a comment here or shoot it to me at cyktrussell at gmail dot com…

  2. Your recent podcast suggests that you aren’t certain of your BM race strategy. It is presumptuous to offer a 15 time BM qualifier advice, when I have yet to qualify. However, talk is cheap, and advice freely given is worth it’s value.

Advice: Go for it. You are relatively healthy, have done several 20 milers. Keep your BQ pace (+ 5-10 seconds) for the first 18, walk thru water stops or at least slow down and then finish as strong as your legs/weather/Wellesley girls will carry you. Worst case: The zombie shuffle for the last 10k. Qualify or not, you will have much more interesting story afterwards..

  3. Obiosly like most othe runners i want to run Boston, now my besttime in my last nyc marathon was 4.25.16 , Im running nyc this year again , but how I can apply for boston. Im 43years old

    1. Looks like you’re close to the qualification time? The times are on BAA.org – registration opens up soon for 2016. NYC is too late to BQ for 2016. You’d need a BQ time between Sept 1 2014 and sept 1 2015.
Is that what you were asking?
