5.15 miles, 54 Degrees, sunny
Stayed up late last night, until midnight, watching the Grateful Dead documentary on Amazon Prime. And drinking beer.
Still woke up at 5:00. Laid around until 6:00 before heading out. Ran loops in the woods. Didn’t feel great, but got some of the toxins out 🙂
Beautiful day. I thought it was supposed to rain today. It’s not sunny, but it’s not raining. It’s what the poets would call “lowering”. I believe we will have afternoon thunder storms.
I got my motorcycle home from the shop last night. Once they replaced the ignition switch it started right up. They put a sticker on it too. I’m road legal. The kids in the shop were giddy over my old bike. I told them I bought it new in 1985 and yes it has never been dumped and yes those are all factory fresh parts. 33 years later and it just starts and runs. 20,000 miles.
Riding it home last night was amazing. I had forgotten how much power there is in that machine. To pull back on that throttle and feel the roar and the g-forces as you accelerate through the gears. Amazing. I had forgotten. It made me feel young.
The clutch is a little low. I’ll have to check the hydraulics.
The roads are all terrible right now. Our part of the state must have gotten some road work funding. They have stripped all the state roads down and it’s that horrible groovy under-surface-pavement. The grooves and loose gravel makes it dangerous for motorcycles.
Buddy is in a good mood. He’s doing well. He kept up with me this morning.
The trails were still muddy but not as sloppy as earlier in the week.
Life goes on, and on, and on.
Cheers,
Chris,
