Cloudy Dreams of MidWestern wind,
Sun burnt streets, tired in their history,
Aged bunting, the shell of America,
Grimly set jaws,
Diseases of affluence,
“What happened to our dreams?”
Dissipation and angry fits of effort,
Into the gloom,
Another American Dream.
Another sated dawn,
Another great quivering of patriotism,
unsheathe your bejeweled dagger,
Swing violently about,
Like a drunken rich fool,
America.
