Greetings Fellow Runners!
Does anyone out there have advice about running after you get a massage? I've heard plenty pro & con opionions about when/if to get a massage after running, but nothing about running after a massage. I ask because this past Saturday afternoon I got a deep tissue massage. The therapist really dug into some trigger points. I ran that evening and felt really sluggish. Sunday is a rest day, so I didn't run. However, my run on Monday was pretty tough--I felt weak & had to really push myself to finish the workout. Today's run was a little better, but I'm wondering if running the same day as the massage set me back a bit. Anyone willing to share your experience and/or expertise on this subject? The runs were only 2-4 miles, so the distance isn't the issue.
